Hello,
We finally got our Ram last Thursday and are loving it! Started looking into improvements and one of the first things is a nice mount for a radar detector. The mirror mounts look like a great idea, so been reading all the posts I can find using the forums search tool. The Blendmount looks like a nice solution, but their site shows the mirror setup like in our truck as not supported! There is very little clearance between the mirror and the "cup" that has all the electronic connections in it. The posts that I can find that mention the Blendmount didn't have any pics, so ya couldn't conclude what type mirrors would work and the ones that may be too little clearance. Anybody know for sure if with the mirrors where you can barely get a finger in between the mirror and the cup, if there's a mount that's thin enough and will actually fit without interfering with the mirror's adjustment movement?

I will try to get a picture and post it but I installed the Blendmount and Escort detector. Tight fit but works.

Thanks for the reply. I'm presently using suction cup mounts. Still haven't gotten brave enough to pull down the upper console to hardwire a power connector. I tried pulling from the rear sides as all the youtube videos show, but am scared to break the plastic! Did figure out how to remove the front cup from the base of the mirror. May end up tapping power there instead of trying to get at the rear window slider switch.

That's good to know. I'm still using a suction cup mount. It works OK. Still trying to decide what's best to use.

Thanks. It is several years old so I don't remember the part number. I originally installed it on a 2012 RAM Laramie and then remounted to the 2017 Limited. They have a lot of flexibility and adjustment. Not sure why Blendmount says they don't have an application.

In California, the Highway Patrol can ticket you if anything but the rear view mirror is attached to the windshield using suction cups
I can't say how thankful I am NOT to live in California. Before someone says it, I'm sure most Californians are equally happy that I don't live there also.

That's the big mystery. Maybe they'll update their information given a little more time to evaluate their product in the newer Rams.
