You posted the same question twice... Did you check the fuse in the head unit and the one in the fuse box? I don't get how you shorted it in the first place. Did you use a canbus adapter? More info needed....

Ok so you shorted out the big 4 guage power wire going to your amp right? And the head unit has no power? Or just the amp? There should be a fuse in the amp itself as well as a large one between your amp and the battery. Test for power on both sides of the big fuse using a test light.

you said you checked the fuse. but there are more than one, each piece of gear has their own (last ditch effort)

there should be a fuse inside the cabin noted as stereo or something to that effect.

and last but NOT least, there is one in the engine bay as well, should be names something like acc or accessory
