I have a 2016 ram 1500. About two weeks ago I noticed that my radio would not turn on and would have a blank screen. I go on about my day and the next day I start my truck it works fine go do my running come back start my truck and black screen again. It’s become more consistent not to turn on. This has my back up cam . Can some one help or has anyone had this issue. Thank you in advance

I am going on Monday to a third party because the dealer wants 200.00 just to diagnose the problem then I’m required to pay for repairs. Apparently it’s an issue with Uconnect and dodge won’t recall it I have been on several sites and it’s an issue and a lot more people are starting to experience it

Okay. Please let me know if you decide to visit an FCA dealership.

My 2016 Outdoorsman radio has also been having a similar issue. Several times a week I will start the truck and the Uconnect system will not start. That means no backup camera or radio functions while the Uconnect system is down. After maybe 5 minutes the system will start and will begin to function. I have noticed after this delayed start happens that the compass direction will be incorrect. I did do a software update for the Uconnect when I purchased the truck about 4 months ago. I am also seeing several times a week a message on the Uconnect screen saying that the "Vehicle Phone Needs Service" and a red light shows up by the 911 button on the mirror. Both issues look to be a known issue with Uconnect system but I am not sure how to correct and the truck is out of warranty. I am hoping that RAM would be willing to fix something that appears to be an issue found by many owners.
