Hope you’ll all forgive me as this is actually a Jeep project. But I’ve bought a non-mds Ram 2500 5.7 hemi to drop in my hemi GC. Now the cam from the 1500 and the Jeep are supposed to be the same. But, the 2500 cam will obviously be a non-mds cam but will the grind be different? I’m concerned that maybe it’ll cause tuning issues? A mds delete tune is obviously in order but would like to know if I should expect other issues? I plan to contact hemi fever and purchase a tuner directly from them for my Jeep and hopefully won’t need a full custom tune write up. Hope someone knows! Thanks

Not enough difference to worry about. They never changed the HP/TQ rating between the same year & application MDS and non-MDS engines. Having driven both versions of the same engine, honestly the only difference I could ever notice is when MDS kicks in. In normal mode or with MDS disabled it drives the same.
