This is my first post. I've searched the site and haven't found anything for my specific need so here I am. Thanks in advance for any help.

My problem: I came home one evening, shut off the engine, came back out the next morning and cranked the engine over, but it wouldn't start. With a code reader I got the code P0113 indicating a problem with the IAS. I replaced the sensor and tried to start it with no success. I used a multimeter to check the sensor and wiring harness and everything checks out. I read that while not likely I may have a bad PCM.

My questions are: Can an IAS cause an engine to not start when it cranks over? My second question is, how do I test the PCM? Third, if there is something I am not consider please don't hesitate to tell me.

Thanks again.

Well, the good news is I figured it out. It was much simpler than I expected. It wasn't PCM or IAS related. It was fuel. I read about the symptoms of a PCM and nothing sounded right. I didn't think the ISA would cause the engine to not start. The tricky thing was the only code I had was P0113. But a friend suggested I try putting gas in the throttle body thinking it was fuel related. It fired right up. I'm replacing my fuel pump and should be good to go.
