Nationwide survey of owners by consulting firm J.D. Powers shows owners of 2009 model year..problems of stalling , tranny issues, peeling paint, & electrical glitches. Top complaint was excessive wind noise! The worst performers were Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, & Jaguar. Chrysler owners reported 192 problems per 100 vehicles.
The headlines read "Widespread improvements seen in auto reliability survey"

I say BULLS&@T! My Ram in 4 months & 4,000 miles old and I did not have one issue.
Hopefully, they got their act together!
PS....this is my first Chrysler I ever owned.....my fingers are crossed!!!

my 2003 hd was rated by all as poor, so was my 2004.5 ,rated poor in all catagories. and now my 2011 150 is rated at the bottom. other than ball joints, all my dodges have been better than all the competition.

Um... my 2010 model went into the shop 24 times in the first 4 months. I made the dealer take it back under the lemon law and got a 2011 Sport. It has been in the shop 3 times (other than oil changes) in the first year (including having the transfer case replaced). I would agree with the numbers on that report.

PS. Don't forget the fact that ipods, iphones and bluetooth devices didn't working correctly with any Chrysler radios for almost a year.

Almost 60,000 miles on my 2010 and no real problems :). This is either the most reliable or second most reliable vehicle I've had (my 1997 s10 was great).

39,500 miles on my 2010. I have had no issues at all. 80 mile round trip on crappy roads 5 days a week. I take very good care of my truck, no abuse. This is my first Dodge and I think they build an excellent truck. I would definately buy another one. That's coming from a guy who has owned Chevy trucks for over 20 years.

I love my 2010 Ram. It's like a big V8 luxury car when you want it to be, except it
is BIGGER than big. And yet it is fashionable because it has a utility purpose so
you're not showing off so blatently when you buy it and drive it. I could not be happier.

I've had 3 Rams so far in the last 10 years and I have never had a single problem out of any of them, except for that Sudden leak in the gas tank that occurs when I drop the hammer....NM.
:LOL:JD power and Associates are a bunch of Ford Butt-Boys anyways. I make my own decisions, They can lick the bottom of my boots!

I have to agree... This is my first RAM and it's been a great truck... No issues other than my seat problem but that will be taken care of.. Truck by far is more comfortable to drive and the looks are the best in the market.... My family have always been FORD people however that is now changing... I know this truck will give me years of joy....

I have to be honest, I've owned a new '95, '99 and 2003 before my current 2011 Ram and in my own opinion, those three before my current were better trucks for me. My 2011 has been back to the dealer way too many times for my liking.

However, I have a friend who owns a 2010 Ram Sport and has had no issues at all. So, I guess it's the luck of the draw. Would I ever buy another Ram? Nope, not me.

If I had done a JD Power survey just after I got my 11 Sport, I would have said it was a POS. I noticed the CHECK ENGINE light on while the the salesman was giving me the pre delivery show and tell. I had to leave without my new truck for a day while they figured it out.
When it had 100 kms on it, the trans locked in 4th. Had to leave it again.
Now truck is a year old and 22000 kms with no other issues.Hope it stays that way.

I had a 2006 Jeep Commander that was a complet pile of ...well, you know what. Electrical problems, transfer case problems, rattles, body work falling off, and the topping on the cake...a massive fuel leak in the engine compartment. It could have killed us.
Well, I didnt learn my lesson I guess..LOL. I bought my 2011 RAM because it was...well, it was dirt cheap. :) I bought it in December and its been in the shop 3 times and will go back again next week. Fuel gauge has never worked and the door locks just stopped working. Not huge deals but things I've never dealt with on previous trucks (other brand). I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop and someting big goes wrong. Its realy no wonder Chrysler went under. But hopefully the Italians will help. Each new Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep model that comes out under new ownership looks better than before. Hopefull quality issues will start to go away.
I think the 4rth gens are the best looking truck on the road right now and I LOVE the HEMI engine but overall, this truck is a dissapointment, not just in the niggles I'm having but the payload capacity is terrible (coil springs) which has just ruined me on this truck...I'm going to have to remedy that with $600 worth of air bags and a compressor :( But I bought it well and should have no trouble trading it off or selling it in a few years. It is what it is...just my luck with Chrysler I guess.

I bought my 2011 Laramie in December 2010. I've had it now for 14 months. It's been to the dealer once for that minor recall last year. It's been solid!

42,000kms on my 2010 Ram No real problems so far

What i hate about Dodge trucks is they drop in value like crazy and every year Chrysler offers bigger and bigger incentives which screws up people who bought there truck one or two years before
