Line X is real good, have it in our 08 F350 and 2014 3500 Cummins and held up amazing. I have heard good things about the factory bed liner too. I am sure someone with the factory spray in liner will be able to offer advice on it. The line-x is real strong.

I went to advance auto parts and bought their DuPont spray/brush in bedliner with Kevlar in it.
it was $85.00 and it's been in my truck for over 2 years and no problems.
it has a latex base and after it dries it's as hard as iron.
line-x liners are okay but $500.00 is too pricey for me

My truck didn't come with a spray in liner from the factory, so I had the dealer line-x it as part of the deal when I bought it. I have seen some Rams with the factory spray in liner and must say its hard to tell a difference. I would say they are pretty much equal.

But you definitely want a spray in liner, I can't imagine having a truck without one. I think they should be standard equipment on trucks nowadays, maybe they will be soon. They are superior in every way to drop ins.

The vendor in Warren Mich. is Ground Effects Ltd.
the spray in bedliner is mostly done by robots
GFXLTD is run by Line-X with a group of investors

That's your opinion. It also depends on what your using your truck bed for. I've had a drop in liner in my last 4 trucks.there was no scratched up paint or rust under the liner in any of them. You may not realize it but your spray in can dent and the drop in is more forgiving. As far as them being standard equipment, I don't agree with that because I didn't buy a couple trucks because it had the spray in liner. I wasn't going to pay for something that wasn't going to work for me. That's great it works for you. Now your starting to sound like them guys with the 3.92 ,that tell us with our 3.21 that the 3.92 is the only way to get a :LOL:truck. LOL

I certainly can't argue against your experience, but we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I have never known a spray in to dent, and I have seen drop ins that were cut through-never a spray in though. I also like the fact that spray ins are anti skid, and have always considered them more forgiving based on the abuse I've handed to both types. But you're right, drop ins are better for you, so that's what you should go with. I suppose if spray ins were objectively better, drop ins wouldn't still be available over a decade after spray ins were introduced.

I will say though that the durability of a spray in liner is primarily dependent on the prep work that went into the installation. I have seen a lot of guys' beds who bought the DIY kits and didn't prep their bed properly, so their liners were thin, chipped, and uneven.

Nice gears btw :smiley_thumbs_up:

I think he meant a drop can provide a cushion against denting to the metal below since they are ribbed, a spray on will not provide protection from dents. That said I'd rather have the spray on, looks better and does not move around or rub the paint off.

I have some hairline scratches on either side of my back glass, I'm guessing this is from them dragging a dirty curtain between the bad and cab when they spray. Not worth complaining about but thats probably where they came from.

I have had two trucks both with spray in bed liners. The most current one is a 2014 RAM 1500 Longhorn. Although I have not had a lot of wear on it yet, I have had a few items drag along it and it shows no sign of scratching or wear at this time. I also like the finish it has. You are probably good with either choice from what it appears in the threads here.

My new truck had a drop in bed liner in it when I looked at it. I made part of the deal to have a Line X sprayed in.

When I lifted the plastic bed liner there was a lot of dirt and grit under it. Seems like it would just act as an abrasive over a long period of time.

Like the Line X so far but only have 185 miles on the truck!!:4-sunshine:
