Was driving home from work today and was felt a weird vibration in the rear end and when hitting a bump it felt like hitting a wheel swallowing pot hole. So i got it home and jacked up the rear end thinking the rear axle bearings i put in a year ago are shot but no they checked out fine then noticed the axle slid in and out about 1/4-1/2 inch so i pulled the oil fill off the diff cover and took a peek and the axle does slide in and out on the C-clip.
Was wondering if there is different C-clips a guy can use in there to eliminate the slop or have most found new axles due to slop
It's a 9.25 rear end

Ya checked out the tires and they were replaced about a year ago but always better to be certain right and the weights all seem to be fine too but thank you for the part number i was finding some on rockauto but not terribly.
Also after doing some searching i found that this is a lot more common of a problem then i had thought seems there's a bunch of people with too much play in there axle the spec is suppose to be .010 i do believe not .25-.50 like mine lol

Pulled off the diff cover and took a good peek in at the gears and the washers, Finally decided to just go with a new set of spider gears and thrust washers after talking to my driveline buddy, they are still original from factory just decided to do an upgrade and after the thrust washers wear down enough too much slop in the gears so to eliminate and wear problems just gunna change it all out
