Haven't installed the Amp BedStep (one on the rear corner) as I find I don't really need it very much.

I have, however, installed the Amp BedStep II (access step for the front of the bed, behind the cab) and absolutely love it. Here's a link to my installation write-up. Not having to straddle my legs between the end of my step bar and the rear tire is a nice change of pace.

Judging by the quality of the BedStep II, I would assume that the BedStep you are linking to would be just as good. I've had the BS II installed for over a year and haven't had one problem yet.

Yes sir, I have. It's invaluable on my truck with an 8" lift and 37's. The quality and function of it is great. The only complain I have is that I wish it would tuck up to the bumper a little nicer and more straight with the line of the bumper. But now that I've had it on the truck for 4 months I don't even notice it's there until I need it.

Yes, one of the first thing I did to mine. Works great and makes it so much nicer to get into the bed with the gate down) which I added a DeeZee (or whatever its called) assist to. Another EZ mod that works great.

I did have to move the exhaust tips for the Amp step to clear when up, but that was not hard to do. Just had to move them up some so they were closer to the bumper cutouts.

fewACres I am also looking at rear steps.
One thing I've noticed is if you have the the factory rear exhaust cutouts in the bumper they might get in the way of that Amp style of step.
Here's an alternative one that I've seen folks on this board use.

http://www.domoretruck.com/

It used to be called Deboe or Debo, do a search on the forum for more info.
Here's a thread that where they talk more about steps and the Debo / DoMore

Good Luck!

AMP has 2 different styles of Bedstep 1's for Ram pickups. One is for trucks without the exhaust going out the bumper, one is for trucks with the exhaust going out the bumper. Make sure you get the right one and you shouldn't have any problems.

Helpful comments. What is the Amp installation like?
Super simple. You remove two of the bumper bolts and one little cross bracket that is in the way of the arm, that's it. Took me about 10 minutes to do.

TD, the Amp has a model for dual exhaust trucks.
Thanks both of you for schooling me on the AMp choices! I didn't realize they didn't offer a step for both types of exhaust / bumpers.

Goes to show we can learn something everyday!

Good to know about the Amp steps.

I too am short on one end - and this may seem a bit weird, but I just ordered the Air Suspension on my 2015 ED 1500 - as a compensator. Because when it drops 2" in front - it makes a large improvement in ease of getting in and out, in combination with factory side steps, which are nicely flattened on top. I went to dealer an tried this out before ordering, as compared to standard suspension truck.

I get in and out of my truck at least 50 times a day for work, and I'm old and cranky - so this is kinda a big deal to me.

Also, the rear drops 1.5 " - and for me, this makes a noticeable difference in how easy it is to access the box.

I'll probably get the Amp step too.
