Hi, I have a VERY stubborn sticky stain on the rear driver side seat on my truck that even a professional detailer with a steam cleaner couldn't get out.

I dont know what stained it, it was there when I bought the truck and the very irritating salesman talked up a storm about how it could be removed and yada yada yada... but thats another story  :box:

So my question is this: any ideas on how to remove it? or should I look for a new seat? and where do I look for that?

thanks

Well, you could try some carb cleaner and a rag and see if it touches it at all.

The other option, which I got from an autobody place is Tar and Grease Remover or if it is still available a product called Prepsol.
Again on a rag and try a spot, try not to saturate the seat in testing :)

You could put a new seat cover on it, or if it is a pattern like previous years, check online part searches.

If a pro could not get it out, not sure anything will. You could try Oxy clean but that is not a guarantee. If the stain really bothers you that bad, buying seat covers may be in your near future.
