Hello, I have a 2014 Ram 2500. In the past I have tried to get my alignment done and was told they were unable to because of the recall but the alignment would be fine. Yesterday I had to purchase new tires prematurely because of the tires cupping. Then I was told it is because they are unable to align my truck due to the recall. Please assist me in finding a solution to this. Thank you.
Thanks for the tag @jkelly16!

Hi England,
We just followed up with you in private message as well!

I created an account just to see if you could help. I have a 2105 Ram 2500 VIN 3C6UR5HL6FG507337 that has effectively been chewing up my tires. I have tried to get it aligned but the nuts for adjusting the alignment have been welded together in the front end. Because of the recall. I haven’t contacted a dealer yet. I didn’t know by reading the forums if I should try and fail first before contacting you about it. But I would like some guidance on what to do here because I’ve almost finished off a set of tires in 15k miles. Thanks in advance.

I just got mine approved to be replaced and alignment done by Chrysler of my choice. Call 1-800-334-9200 and open a case got approved less then 24 hours
Terence,
Big kudos and thank you from my brother.
He's been trying to get his welded unit replaced for over a year. Ram Cares and other numbers were useless, all said there is nothing they can do, that the fix is he needs to purchase a new one. I gave him the tel no you posted and wala! He's getting it replaced at no cost.
Thanks again! He's a happy camper again.

Welcome to the forum.
I bring good news.
The original RAM fix for the V06 Drag Link Recall was to check the torque settings, then weld the locknuts to the adjustment sleeve. That's what they did to your truck.
The real fix is what RAM is offering now, and that's a new drag link which does not require welding, followed by a full alingnment, all at no cost whatsoever. This is true whether you had the weld "fix" done or not.

The best place for you to start is to read this thread here on the forum. It'll take a few minutes, 'cos there's 80+ posts, but there you'll find accounts from several forum members—including me—about how they got the issue resolved.

Read that thread, then contact your dealer and tell them you want the permanent fix for the V06 Drag Link Recall. It's possible, even likely, that they won't know what you're talking about and will try to tell you that the weld is the fix.
It is not.
If that happens, and it happens a lot, come back here and do what all the folks on that thread did, which is contact @ramcares here on the site with a private message. They will take your information and arrange for a case specialist to contact the dealer of your choice and get it all sorted out. RAM will ship the new drag link, and you'll get an appointment at the dealer to install it and get the alignment. Don't forget to insist on a printout of the alignment specs before and after any adjustments.

Bottom line - you are owed a new drag link and an alignment at no cost, and if you follow my suggestions, you will get one. Might take a little while, but be patient and it will happen.

Let us know how it plays out, and good luck. If you have more questions, just holler.
I have a 2017 Ram 2500. I had that drag link recall done a while back. I just got new tires today and was blown away when they said they couldn't do an alignment because it was welded. I called my local dealer and just like you said, they weren't sure what I was talking about as far as fixing the fix. I messaged @ramcares like you suggested but they said I can't send a private message. Not sure what to do now.

How long does it take to hear back from ramcares? And what is this phone number you're referring to?
