Normally programmers are VIN specific which means if they are loaded on one vehicle, they can't be loaded on another. So forget about doing your vehicle and a bunch of your friends rigs at the same time.

Given your generation truck and powertrain, I'd talk with B&G Performance.

Ill check that one out, and i know some are vin specific, but not all are since shops get away with them all the time

Any idea how these shops getting away with it? It sounds like what they are doing is building a flash tune and dumping that program into the PCM vs. using a commercially available tuner.

A friend of mine has one, marketed by snap on, and he has to pay a subscription, like satelite tv, I think he said he had thousands tied up in it, and it was just a program on his laptop, with special serial port connections.
