I cut off my Y pipe and welded 3 inch stainless steel dual exhaust with 4 inch tips coming out the back. Seen a difference right away. More throttle response and even more with CAI. Stock Y pipe, you can see the both 2 1/2 in pipes crushed in a 3 in pipe. Can you say castrated.lol. She needs air flow.

Ok thanks i would be keeping the same size diameter of exhaust pipe and keeping it single exiting out the back so would this be much of a gain.

I would think so, I kept the stock size pipe and had a new Y pipe installed with a new Magnaflow muffler and it made a difference in sound and performance.

It would be a slight difference. Not sure if you'd notice it or not but it would help. Consider it like replacing the muffler with a free flowing one, some notice the difference, some don't.
