Removing the side steps?

Have any of you done this? I have the chrome side steps but to be honest I dont even use them to get into the truck its stock height so i kind of just step in. I was taking it on the mud yesterday and they were scraping a tiny bit entering the spot I was going in. I know its not a big procedure but just wondering if any of you really like them or not.

Man, you must be one tall dude if your just steeping into your truck. I bought mine without the running board and I ended up added an aftermarket one because I was having trouble getting in and out plus the girlfriend was having a hard time getting in and out. I like the look of the truck better without it but it was needed in my case.
Take them off! Really it all depends what way you want to take with the truck. Family or no family? Tall guy or little guy?

I can't really say anything due to the fact I did add a set of aftermarket Nfab bars myself, but like above the gf was complaining its too high.

Without them she sorta slides off the edge of my seat with her ass with all the buttons and it just kills me. So I had to find the perfect set to be different and I am happy. It matches the way I wanted to take the truck with the black and white so

Well I do like them and the way they make the truck look. Also, with my wife being only five feet tall it was essential. It was one of my first mods.
Some want them some need them and some dont want them..Where in NY are you located?? If you do pull them and want to sell them please let me know. My wife made 2 comments about my truck."I need some kind of step to get in this thing" and week ago wile it was raining at nite and we were going to lowes she asked 3 times are your head lights on??? "you need to change these lights". So been shopping around a little.
Thanks Ryan
i also step into my truck but literally everybody else uses the steps so i'd keep them if i were you. not everybody is blessed to be over 6 feet tall brother!
I installed Mopar stirrup steps on mine, but I think I'm going to take them off. I hardly ever use them, and my wife rarely rides in the truck.

I am on the island in east islip.
Being as the entire family is undertall none of us could get in or out of the Ram without them, but I do love the look a truck without them.
My truck had less than 20 miles on it when I took the chrome Mopar steps off. Looks bad on a reg cab R/T IMO.
My sport did not come with any. I added deezee stainless 3"round tub bars. They are very useful and I used them all the time but I just did not like the look of them. Made the truck look too low and old-manish haha. I took them off and it looks way better but Im still trying to get used to hopping in with no steps, 2.5 lift and 35s
