Hello everyone!

As the title says, I'm having issues with my reverse lights not lighting up when in reverse. I've taken it to a mechanic to see if the trs was working correctly. He hooked up the truck to a computer and went to a couple of different screens. One showing that the truck does recognize going in to reverse, and the other showing what gear it is in. So I've eliminated that being bad.
I've also checked for voltage going to the socket and to no avail on either side. I currently have pilot led's in for the lights. Do I need a resistor in for the led's also? Also, does anyone think the TIPM may have shut off due to the low voltage draw of the led's? I believe the led's said they are canbus ready. Any help before I take it in to the shop tomorrow would gladly be appreciated. Thanks!

Since you didn't say, I assume you checked the fuse or fuses. Before taking it to the shop I would disconnect the both leads to the battery then change out the led's back to the original bulbs, then reconnect the battery and see if they work.

I've looked for fuses and found none for it. In the owners manual, and physically. I've done the battery disconnect before, but didn't put the incandescent bulbs in it. I will give it a try tonight though.

Well. I did a battery reset and replaced the bulbs last night. No luck. I took it in to the mechanic this morning to have the spark plugs changed out and to have him look for theproblem with the reverse lights. He just called and said there is voltage coming out of the TIPM, but it's an open circuit to the light. So he's going to chase down a broken wire.

Reverse lights are now in working order. Broken wire was found and repaired. It's also nice to have a new set of plugs in the truck. Especially when the mechanic said they look like they've never been changed.
