I get home one night, and as I pull up into my driveway, I notice my right headlight is out. The next day before I get a new bulb, I double check which light is out and low and behold, everything is working! In fact it's been flawless for a few weeks. Two nights ago, I notice the same right headlight is out again. Both the high & lo beams (4 light sys) on the right side (the yellow marker light is fine). I think this is odd that both of them are out at the same time, but I purchase 2 bulbs anyway. Last night I pull the light assy and reseat the lo beam light and whalla, both lights are now back working. Hmmmm a short in the cable? Here's my question: from the actual bulb connector to the wiring harness, is there a section that can be replaced, or am I looking at the whole harness? If it's the harness I'm obviously going to splice a new connector. I'm hoping that there's a pigtail or short section of wiring that can purchased and replaced without a splicing job. Thoughts?

Thanks

Our Dodge Durango security vehicles, had this problem because they drive all night. It ended up being the pigtails got hot and melted in the connector. Took it back to dealer and they changed out the harness.
