RIPP has been testing its newest supercharger kit for the 2009-2011 RAM 1500 5.7 for one year and 20,000 miles, we can confidently say we have the best and most thoroughly tested kit on the market. We can say this because we have done all phases of testing since our introduction to this community and the questions and concerns its asked. Namely reliability, MPG and trans integrity.
Originally introduced in March of 2011 RIPP had data -logged all aspects of the engine and the run-time conditions in Stock NA form as well as supercharged with stock tires/rims/gears. Then we added 37" tires with stock gears and finally 4:56gears.
The results have remained consistent throughout the testing phases and we are pleased to say we are 100% ready to launch to the retail side.
As you may recall we originally brought our test mule to SEMA where we jumped it through the sand dunes of Nevada and "lawn darted it" for the world to see. The N-FAB bumper and Pure Performance long travel suspension saved the rig from serious damage. As you read an we can tell you there are no signs of issues regarding chassis damage or off-axis tracking. Everything functions as it was intended to.
An alignment, replacement N-FAB bumper, rebuilding of the rear Pure Performance shocks and a new set of ANZO lights put it back on the road.
We then set it up for towing by installing rear Air-ride air bags, Nitro 4:56 gears and a trans cooler with fan to keep things safe. We were heading the Moab Utah for the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari to publicly debut our newest project the worlds first Supercharged 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK equipped with the 3.6l Pentastar engine. We set it up like a client would, open trailer and a fairly light jeep, towing what we would expect a 1500 owner to tow.
The towing went fantastic - we posted the live data on our Facebook page to keep our followers up to date. We can say that towing with the 1500 was little headache, in tow mode the trans acted wonderfully during breaking and never felt out of place. The MPG was reasonable considering we were pulling on 37xX13.5 toyo's and that we didn't exactly go slow.

Pulled strong up hill 1-4psi was all it needed to maintain speeds up hill at 2000-3000 rpm
In Moab we actually Wheeled it on some pretty hairy stuff - over trails that were really meant for much smaller Jeeps - but we got our rig through there without any scratches. Stretching it as much as we could given the space an keeping in mind it needed to come back home safely. Everywhere we went we got thumbs up from fellow Jeeper's and enthusiasts.
It consumed one full quart of oil over 5000 miles of rigorous accelerated testing. We are proud to say we think we've earned the title the most tested kit on the market, we hope you appreciate the efforts gone into the testing to prove our kit, RAM, its engine and transmission.
