Hey guys. I just picked up my 05 Daytona and it has a lot of road tar. I was wondering if anyone has a good product to get this crap off! Thanks in advance!

It's called 'Bug and Tar remover'. You should be able to get it at any auto parts store. Depending how thick it is, good wax will take it off too..

Yup, Bug and Tar Remover works great. A Turtle Wax product IIRC.

I had read somewhere about WD40. I guess my main concern with it is the effect on the clear coat. I'm assuming with you both using it, there is little or no effect. I appreciate everyone's input!

I work at a Dodge Detail Garage and we use a product called Acrysolve its a paint prep and it works great! melts the tar right off with no harm to clear coat( we use it on the vipers all the time) its also nice for removing the glue from window stickers and stuff like that You should be able to get it at your local advanced auto parts it is around here but idk about yours

Ya no problems with the clear but also when done clean it and wax it up to
