My SERV/4X4,ESP/BAS Warning Light Comes On Intermittently and then goes away upon vehicle turned off and back on.
There was also a "gurgle" at around 1500 RPM at top gear.
1.I took it into dealer today and they claim that there was a software update and it should clear the SERV/4X4 warning light problem.
2.They claim that they could not reproduce the "gurgle" either idling or on road test.
Since i drove it home tonight, a distance of 30KM, that noise is gone so far. I will report back either way at a later date.

The gurlgle or "grrt - grrt" noise in top gear around 1500 rpm is common here. I get it sometimes when not in tow mode, and always in Tow mode towing our trailer.

I recall from the other threads on this it was metal shield vibrating on the exhaust or manifold or something, can't remember :doh: someone will correct me...anyway not a serious problem, just annoying.

Can't say on the SERV 4x4 message, I got it once last winter on a really cold morning, never happend again, and the dealer said there was no codes showing. wonder what this software update you got fixed?

You are right in that i really didn't notice any degradation in performance or function. Just was an annoying noise and i was actually ignoring it till i saw that "SERV/4x4" warning light coming on numerous times and ithought it may have been related. So i then took it to the dealer.

I drove the truck all day and i have not seen the warning light or experiences the "gurgle" at around 1500 RPM. So maybe this control module software update had something to do with that too? I am not sure and maybe i am premature in saying all is fixed. The service work order just states:
"Scan for codes found control module update
Update final drive control module"
