Assuming you have already checked the functions of those elements, I would try resetting the computer and see if that solves the issue. If not I would call for service to check it out.

I had this issue last May (2015). It just happened again.

When it happened last May, I brought it to the dealer and they said it was a wiring issue. Very vague, but apparently they did not replace the sensor itself.

Now that it has happened again, I am curious if it is the same sensor that has triggered it.

For those people who have reset the computer, as in the posts above, did that work long term or did the problem re-occur?

I have been driving this with the lights on for a few weeks now (since I know it isn't really a safety issue), trying to figure out the easiest and most cost effective way to fix it, without having to have to go to the dealer again for them to charge me $120 for a 'wiring issue'.

Any help appreciated. Thanks, TPIR

After reading multiple threads on here, I decided to tear off some electrical tape that the dealer left when they fixed it May 2015.

Below is what I found. IMO, they didn't do much of a job at the dealer, even though it lasted a year. The electrical tape alone was sparse, guess the budget was tight. However they only stripped about 1/4" of each side of the green wire. Not much hold for the two wires, considering how knocked around that set of wires are.

I spliced them all back together and taped it up. This will most likely only be a temporary fix, as I will have to replace the wire set eventually. But hey, it shut the lights off. Out of sight, out of mind...

I'd take it up with the dealer about getting a new harness

Does the 4x4 work with all those lights on? I pulled my abs fuse to try and bypass the traction control and stability control, but hocked it back up cause I got nervous lol.

Yes your 4x4 will still work, to prove it I will post a video on youtube and rumble to show you that even with all the lights on, and the clicking grinding noise all 4 wheels will spin and tear up 4 tire paths of grass....I didnt think it would have worked but it does, also 4 wheel lo works also. I can hear the front click over to 4 low and it makes that noise again when disengaging. My jeeps problem is the clicking vibration grinding from the front diff. It sounds like bad cv axles but I have new cv axles, lower and upper control arms JBA uppers and all new ball joints upper and lower (came with new control arms), new wheel hub assemblies, new transfer case, new front prop shaft , new sway bar links, and bushings, new front diff bushing, new brakes, new struts, and same old grinding clicking clanking noise...no pllay anywhere, tore front diff apart everything is tight and looks new no leaks either..with mechanic righting on ring gear and carrier assembly to line them up...I noticed wear the shape of the ring gear slightly rubbed into the carrier...but looks like everything was replaced, I have 200,000 miles almost.

Has anyone had this issue? Im assuming this is a wheel speed sendsor. It blows because you cant use cruise control when all these lights are on.
For people still having this issue, I got a code for a brake light switch. I replaced the switch and reset all codes and ran my rig hard for about 30 minutes and it seems the issue has gone away. Bought the switch from Orileys for $30. Hope this helps.
