I have a ram 1500 4x4 31000 miles and I’m getting a message on my dash service transmission shut off engine to engage park service shifter anyone else having this issue or know anything about it
Dealer is replacing shifter hopefully that will work

Wow. My 2017 1500 just did this to me today. Has 21000 miles on it and seemed to be driving a bit odd. Like it wouldn’t downshift and a few other things. Called the dealers service dept and was told to pull off the road and that a tow truck was being sent. I’m over 75 miles or so from the dealer. So I pulled off in a safe spot and waited. I’ve not heard from the service dept yet as this literally just happened today. I’m a bit concerned now with what’s being said by other’s and with them not finding an issue for awhile. I did take pics of both screens that showed up on the screen.

Yes it has fixed my trucks. No warnings in the EVIC since. Service advisor plugged in they’re mobile code tester and it was showing the knon unit. I’d say that his would be your fix.
