Pure punishment. My CAI and Tuner got into Victoria yesterday and now I have to wait until tomorrow to get it. I hope my wife is home when they come by. Having tow ait for things to come across the country are killer!! But after the weather back east I am glad I live here

So here is what I got to unpack today when I got home!!!

I must say I thought the inTune would have been bigger almost like the size of an iPod. Caught me off guard seeing this tiny thing. Hope I don't lose it now.

Yeah we were around 10 today. I am thinking I want to run a tank or two with just the Volant in then run the tuner not sure I want to try and see how much difference the CAI makes on its own

Not to change the subject back to the original post... but does that light bar block the spare tire crank hole? I was told that a light bar like that would block the hole...

No I mounted it so it runs over the top portion but I can still have access to the spare tire crank hole.

Haven't done much driving but it is definitely firmer and more responsive!! Not sure if this is a good thing when I only get 11-12.5 mpg lol. This is just the 87 tune I may run it for a bit then go to the mpg tune for awhile to find the best that suits me. Have to be careful starting from a stop now as to not spin the tires if I hit the gas to hard.

Volant is in!!!

Before:

Step 1: Disconnect negative battery cable.

Step 2: Loosen hose clamps on resonator box and stock air box

Step 3: Remove air hose from resonator box and stock air box.

Step 4: Remove breather hose from stock air box

Step 5: Pull out stock air box

Step 6: Remove grommets from stock air box and install in Volant air box

Step 7: Place Volant box where stock was and push down firmly. (I ended up breaking one of my plastic posts but it is still secure)

Step 8: Apply coupler to resonator box and firm up, do not tighten as it will warp the other end and create an issue connecting the air duct.

Step 9: Install Volant Air Duct to Volant Air box then slide back into coupler on resonator box, tighten clamp and install filter and tighten all 3 clamps. *Make sure opening for breather hose is in correct location

Step 10: Connect 3/4" elbow to air duct and connect breather hose to it.

Step 11: Place Volant cover on air box.

Step 12: Make sure everything is properly connected and all clamps are tightened.

Step 13: Re-connect negative battery cable

Complete!!!

Probably took me about an hour, but that was with also tracking down my tools that my two little helpers had * 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter*

Now to see how it will perform with my intune!! Next will probably have to be a Y pipe to let all this air flow out freely.
