hey all, long time no post. well i was driving my truck today (2009 ram hemi sport 1500) and all of a sudden i came to a light, stopped, and tried to drive again and it was dogging real bad. looked at the console and stuck in fourth. pulled the code and reads P0750. only code that came up. reads as shift solenoid problem. anyone know how hard it is to replace this part on these trucks? i dont have the cash to pay a dealer to do this. anyone else have these problems as well? anything would be great right now. Thanks!

Its super easy, if you are out of warranty.

Drop the pan, remove the square filter, remove the valve body (6 bolts IIRC), pick out the solenoids and replace. Its not too terrbily difficult on an 09, and there shouldnt be any gaskets to screw with, only RTV on the trans pan.

When you take the truck to the dealer, be ready for the good old "could not duplicate, no repair made" statement.

Be sure to get it to the dealer in the locked condition. (mine would clear with engine restart)

How do you clear it? I had this problem for almost a year before they finally threw enough parts at they finally fixed it.

Well this happened to me yesterday, tried to reset and it wouldn't even take the reset, soon as I put it in drive the dash says 4th gear. Had it towed into my work (salesman at dealer) been waiting all day to find out what is wrong with it as I leave Thursday morning for Michigan for 4 days. I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Big Horn with the floor shifter have 2'' spacer lift and 35'' tires, I don't beat on it but I do a lot of towing of a 29 foot boat. Truck has almost 41k on it

This morning I got in my 2011 1500 RAM it has 153K miles on it, yes I'm the original owner. It runs like new, I cranked it was shifting into D but skipped and went to +/- 4,couldn's change gears on the shifter. It ran sluggish until I got up to 30,but never left 4th gear. When I got to work I turned it off and sat for a few minutes then cranked up again and it ran through all gears no problem. I thinking it's the transmission shift solenoid. The only thing I need to figure out now is the color of the connector's.
