I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions or suggestions on aftermarket stepbars.
I'm looking for a set in stainless with plastic/rubber pads for my 09 Crew Cab.
Durability against rust and dents is my prime concern. Cost is second.

I have been reading a lot on this subject, I have gone by a couple of accessory shops and even have stepped on several installed, both factory and aftermarket. I am a big guy 300lbs, 6'6" and there definately is a difference. I have been leaning toward the n-fab bars for strength and really like the look of them. I am also contemplating building my own. I want something that looks different and not the same as everyone elses truck.

Im 270lbs and my stainless 3" tube steps from deezee seem to hold up well. Have stayed shiny and have been jammed into the ground a few times while offroad without bending or denting.

Has anyone installed the factory step bars on their own? I'm finding the installation of the crimp nuts a pain in the backside!!
