Yeah, it scared the crap outta me too considering I was waist deep in traffic.
Then, just as fast as it downshifted, a mere second later it found the correct gear and moved on.

Anybody else have this happen or have a clue what happened?

2015 2wd, 3.6 Pentastar, 8spd auto, QuadCab LoneStar 2100 miles.

:wow: I'd be freaking too :Wow1:

I've tagged this topic to see what gets posted, I wonder when
something like this happens if it's stored in the computer :popc1:

Desert ram, that's a good question.

"Have you had any throttle-related issues?"

Nope. Everything's been smooth as silk. I'm actually wondering if I could've done something to cause that to happen.

I doubt that ;)

I would think if that was the case it would be more frequent :4-dontknow:

Jot down the conditions, mileage & date as a reference if it should
occur again. as we all know if you take it in it has to do it for the
tech.

Again, as to why I was wondering if something like this would be stored :thk:

Welp, posted about here maybe an hour after it happened, so there's a starting point.

Also, is there any way, indicator or something, to tell what gear I'm in?

The only way I know of is to hit the ( - ) on the wheel and that
will drop you 1 gear :4-dontknow: until now I never really thought of what
gear it's in as I've always use the ( + & - ) and I've only used 8th
like a dozen times, most of my driving has been the loops in suburbia
and surface streets.

Just wish they had a permanent gear indicator in the dash.
I hear ya ;)

Years ago I went through the day's of the GM 700R4
Since then ANY AOD I just never allow it into O/D until I'm
constantly over 50mph. It's taken a bit to find a system that
works with this 8spd, but I do believe I've found my happy
procedure
