Some Bezel Removal Advice?

920 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  dodgert
Ok, getting ready to take the bezel off and get in to the center console/dash. Read all the how-to threads on doing them. Just a little leery of those spring loaded clips. I HATE breaking those damn attachment clip things. Seems like one would always go on my old ford trucks. Then everything never seems to go back together right. Have no experience with dodges design.

When you start taking stuff off, do you just get a small screwdriver and start prying??? How much force are we talking. I hate to just start ripping.

Sorry if this seems like a silly post, i just like to know what i'm getting into....

First off are you talking about the piece around the radio or shifter on the floor. One around radio is cake you remove 5 screws 2 on top 2 on bottom and one behind the acc panel plug ( if you have it ) and no need to pry after the screws are out insert finger in ac vent area a little tug and it comes right off
Dont think he was talking about the chrome trim ring think he means the part around the radio and WTF would you buy a tool to remove the ring lol a credit card under it and just be gentle had mine off like 9 times has not broke yet
And if he does not have the floor shifter he wont have the ring or area on floor to remove.
A full set of trim removal tools will be under $10 at an "economy tool store".
But your hands are free lol
