Recently my truck has started squeaking very very loud. I replaced the belt and the tensioner but that has not done anything for it. Suggestions on what to do next?

Also, on colder mornings or after having not been started for a while it has issues starting (unless I rev it to about 2 grand for 15-20 seconds).

Any help would be great, thanks!

Howdy, Owen  and welcome to what's affectionately known as "The Z". There's a lot of great knowledge, ideas and info available here on the Z. Don't hesitate to ask a question, share your knowledge and opinions, or boast about your squeaky beast.

Post your technical question here in the 2ND Generation Dodge Ram – 1994 to 2001 Dodge Ram Trucks Powertrain – Engines, Transmissions & Differentials section.

Your squeak, if it's rotational with the engine running, could be pulley bearings going bad. As far as the hard starting, I'd look at the fuel pressure regulator.

For the squeak, don't overlook the idler pulley. I had mine fail. Take the belt off and check for any play there also.
