So when I press on the gas I hear squeaking from underneath. My first thought was maybe a ujoint issue but there is no slop. Maybe the slip yoke? It does squeak more under heavier acceleration. Anyone want to volunteer and hang on to the frame as I drive down the street for a better diagnosis haha....

"No slop" did you check it in neutral without a load on the drivetrain? (flat level ground). Was the driveline warmed up? What tends to happen initially is that the bearings will grind up into a powdery residue mixed with grease and it makes a paste.

Once it's warmed up from a short drive it loosens up a bit and is easier to check for play.

Squeaking under truck.

I have changed out u -joints that were damaged in ways where ,even though they were no longer usable , they did not have any abnormal movement because the joints were seized with the rust and wear metal holding the joint tight. Just because there is no abnormal movement in the joint , does not mean that the joint is ok. I does the noise increase in harmonic speed with an increase in speed of the truck?

Yes when I checked it I rode around for a bit stopped in a flat parking lot threw it in neutral and no play.

And yes is getting faster as I accelerate. It's more a metal on metal sound and when I get up in speed it stops. It does not do it in reverse but I do hear the same sound when I put it in reverse just for a second.

I am thinking just knock out the joints as a starting point and hopefully that's all.

That really is your best bet. Start with a safe standard for the U-joints. I prefer Spicer parts myself. Not many stores carry, or can get them, but easily available on the web. On the web, you will probably pay the same as for the crap-joints that the local stores sell, as you would a quality Spicer.
