I've had this truck nearly 10 years & still only has 58,000 on it, all original drive train. 1986 has a 360 cid with a quadrajet 4bbl, 727, with maybe 3.91 gears and 4x4. I use it for plowing snow and hauling a 5,000 lb boat. Recently when she warms up and you need to put the power down (pulling boat up a hill) the engine will sputter and stall, feathering the throttle will delay the eventual stall. Let it sit and(or) pour chain saw gas in the carb and she fires back up temorarilly. I changed the fuel pump and checked the gas tank venting and no improvement, fuel lines are rusty but not leaks. Has fresh gas in it all the time because it has to with that quadjet on it. Starts and runs great when its cold.

This one has me stumped at the moment, any ideas out there?

The incline thing applies but mainly it pukes out with warm engine applying the power. Maybe time to Holley it.

Thanks, PW74
