Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a 2014 Ram, 1500, Bighorn, Crew Cab, 4x4. The truck has an open differential right now.

Does anyone have feedback about the advantages of the Auburn unit for our trucks vs the stock LSD? I've read that the Auburn has a bias ratio of around 2:5:1 whereas the stock units are typically less than 2:0:1.

I've used the search function, but please forgive me if this has already been discussed in length.

I can tell you first hand that my 2014 Dodge 1500 Ram Express also came with an open differential. I'm lucky in that we have a great Rear End shop here in town that does all the dealer diff repairs and so forth.

So I had him research putting in an lsd because I have a 7000 lb race boat that I needed to pull out of the water and I was concerned that an open diff would just spin on the ramp.

So, for the 2014's the only lsd available as of 1 month ago was the factory unit. I had that installed and everything is great! I don't know where you are in the country but if you want to call this guy out here in Lake Havasu City, Az the shop name is Gooley's. You can search online at google and get his number. The owner and only employee at the shop is Gooley!

So this was the MOPAR LSD you had installed? If you don't mind me asking how much where you charged?

It looks like it should fit our trucks, but I could be wrong.
