I am trying decide on what tires to get for my 2013 truck. I am going to be getting my Bilstein 5100 adjustables put on this coming week and I have yet to decide on what tires to get. I am going to keep my stock 20" chrome clad wheels on (can anyone tell me if they are 20x8 or 20x9, I have read both). I would like to see a variety of 35" tires on stock wheels.

They are 20X8 if they are on the big horn, I think that the laramie bigger. Not sure for 2013 though. Have you looked on the rim on the inside of it for an imprint on the actual rim .

Your stock wheels will work as lomg as you get a 1/4 spacer.

As WPG-RAM said you can fit up to a 35x12.5 on the stock wheels with 1/4" spacers.

Typically anything wider than a 285 will require 1/4" spacers. Some guys do get away with 295's and even 305's but it's not very common. So if you get the 295's I'd have spacers in hand just in case.

let me know the height of your truck when your done. i'd like to do the same but still need to be able to fit in underground parkades.

even with the bilsteins? is that due to the interior wheel well shape?
It is unrelated to height, wider wheels eventually rub the swaybar. The spacer pushes your wheel out towards the fender creating a gap between the swaybar & tire. Ive got a set for sale if you want! $60 I ended up buying new wheels and did not need spacers.

....and it still baffles me how they do.

The 295, yeah touch and go, but how the 305's fit with no issues is beyond me.

Will I need spacers on the rear? I plan on putting 1/4" spacers only on the front. Everything comes in today and plan on getting everything installed tomorrow or Thursday. pics to come.

Yes, what WPG-RAM said is basically correct. The need for 1/4" wheel spacers is related to the width of the tire, not the height. The stock wheels have a +19 offset. Because of that you cannot clear a wider tire than a 285 without hitting the upper A-arm. 1/4" spacers will give you more clearance on the inside to clear the wider tire.

I know man, definitely blows my mind. It's weird how these trucks/parts can be built that much different to allow that.

I would definitely put them on the back as well. The front already sticks out a half inch further than the front stock so now you'd be at 3/4" difference. Looks a little funny IMO.
