Firstly Hi to everyone, this is my first post on the forum, ive been reading for a long time now, but it is only now that I need your help that ive made the jump.

So here is my problem,

my truck at idle is fine runs smooth and no problems

when I press the gas pedal i hear a high pitch whine almost like the air box sucking in lots of air.

after I depress the gas pedal this sound disappears, it does this in all gears and in neutral.

if I then turn the truck off with the key I hear a sound like compressed air is being dumped from a compressor from around the airbox.

my first line of inquiry with the local dodge garage was that it was low gas in the air conditioning system. so I recharged the system myself and that has made no difference.

i also used a leak kit on the air conditioning system in case a line was damaged.

please I would be most grateful if someone could offer some help, its distracting while driving and my local dodge garage is unsure what to do.

Hey thanks for the suggestion.

any suggestions on How to go about testing the intake manifold?

Also the truck idles perfectly, no problems there and no engine management light is showing.
