My 04 Hemi 4wd is surging or revving at low speeds; it normally happens between 10-20 mph if the truck hasn't shifted to 2nd gear. I am not sure whats happening but it will surge from 2k rpms to about 2600 or 2700 then fall off. It does this as long as i keep my foot steady on the gas pedal; if I accelerate or pull my foot off the pedal it will stop.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the tip; I found a post another forum that explained to pull fuse 23 and turn the key to the on position; then wait to hear a series of chimes and it should clear the memory in the throttle body. Since doing this my problem has gone away.

Well its back, but at a different speed. I did the reset with fuse 23 pulled out and the problem went away. Now instead of low speeds the problem is occurring at about 35mph with gradual acceleration. I am guessing another reset may cure temporarily, but also thinking that cleaning may be required or the computer module is going bad?

i would think that running some Sea Foam through the Throttle body & pour the rest in the gas tank would help

I don't care to run Sea Foam in the crankcase, but some ppl do just before an oil change

Spark Plugs of all brands can be purchased at RockAuto online, their prices are hard to beat & delivery is quick

Cleaned the throttle body with CRC throttle body cleaner; filled tank and added sea foam. I would say I had an 80% reduction in surging but didn't make it perfect.

I watched a youtube video and it said my throttle body would open if I turned the key to the on position and had someone put their foot on the gas. This did not work; does anyone have another way they get the throttle body to open for cleaning?
