I have a 2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab with 73k miles.

I am wanting to put a level kit or lift kit on it. Anywhere for 2 to 6in and run 35 tires with 24 wheels.

My initial thought would be to put a 2 inch level kit on and go, but I'm now wondering with the miles and abuse the truck has seen with the terrible streets in new Orleans if I should do the suspension lift or some combination to replace any worn down parts so I'm not back in a year or two having to replace parts.

I'm not very educated on the lifts and suspension and wanted some input please. I'm still on original brakes as well.

Thank you

Most of the wear parts in the suspension system (bearings, ball joints, bushings, etc) aren't replaced doing either a leveling kit or full suspension lift. So that shouldn't really play into your decision. I'd decide how high you want the truck to be, go with that, and then when it's installed replace the wear parts at the same time (if needed).
