Well first off id like to say hi to all my Oregonians out there. Second, this is not my first Dodge. Ive have owned an: 1960 True WM300 Power Wagon, 1976 W100 400BB "The Beast", Still own 1996 W2500 Ext. Long Bed V8 w/315K orignal miles on Engine/Trans still see 13.5 City/ 17.5 Hwy "Silver Bullet", Gone 2005 W1500 Reg. Short Bed 4.7L 13 City/ 17 Hwy, And now own 2011 Quad 6'4" Bed W1500 5.7L 16 City/ 20.5+ Hwy @25k miles. Third, im looking at a cheap way to add a small level kit or 3 to 4" lift and need new tires to sit on stock 17" rims. Looking for 305/70's to fit. Pictures are welcome cause i like to see what looks im shooting for.

Hiya Doc...welcome to the forum from another Oregonian!

305's will probably rub on the stock wheel due to the positive offset. 285's will fit and shouldn't rub even at full steering lock.

Lifts are never cheap, except the ones that break on ya. I'd go with either a Rough Country or Superlift kit. 4" will work great with a 70 aspect ratio tire.

I used to have a set of 320/60Rx18's on a +6 offset wheel. A stock wheel has a +18 offset if I remember right. I don't have a pic here at work of the current setup, a set of 285/75Rx18's on a +18 offset rim.

If I remember  I'll post up the pics for your perusal tonight...

Thanks Maddog. Ive seem to like the 285/70 on stock rim since im custom to trying to keep an aggressive Ram look while trying to keep stock pieces. Whats ur suggestion to help with the 285/70 setup to give a little lift and level out appearance? i like to keep as factory looking as possible. :4-dontknow: Also Have you gone back up to Ptown for more "fuel" Adjustment?? Just started reading your build thread so far. Id like to mod the Air box and Add a Aftermarket filter with a DIY ABS PVC 4" CAI, and i like to modify the exhaust to a more flowing muffler and switch from a single dump to dual dump like yours but to the sides to look more factory and gain performance and look.
