I have a 2006 ST but am looking to swap the front end Fenders, or Fenders and Hood )to an earlier model like 2002 -04. Has anybody done this and if so how hard if at all was it to do?

It was in either 2002 or 2003 that they came out with the Generation 3 Dodge Rams
That body style stayed until 2008 in the 1500s & 2009 in the 2500 & 3500 models

I believe that the fenders are the same for all models of Gen 3 Rams, 1500 - 3500s
the hoods should be interchangeable
Usually the front bumpers & grilles are different between the 1500s & Heavy Duty Rams

The headlight assembly is different so the fender has a different shape where it wraps around the light. You will definitely need to swap headlights too. There could be other minor structural changes behind the light for mounting.
