I was looking around on ebay and seen the tint you can put on your tail lights. That way you can pull it off if you want to sell it, instead of painting them. Has anyone tried these? if anyone has im probably going to buy them

If you use VHT night shades you can take the paint off if u wanted to return them to stock. Just use some carb cleaner and the night shades comes right off. I have mine painted but they first time i painted the paint ran due to inexperience. I took the paint off with the carb cleaner and started the process all over and they look absolutely amazing. But its up to you rather you want the tint or the paint, not sure how the tint works or how well it works. Just throwing my two cents in about the paint. Hope it helps

Most paint them with VHT or send them out to places like jonstintedtails.com to get them done professionally. I have a friend that put the ones you are talking about on his truck. From far away they don't look to bad, but you will get bubbling with them just to warn you.

Yeah what they said exactly. It is nice to have considering it saves you the money, and it does do what you asked of it, but Ive used it on three vehicles and still have half a can. Actually there was a deal from a "ahem" import website where i got mine for $20 for 2 cans. so i have enough for eternity. but it does make em flat w/o clear

Personally not a big fan of the vinyl tint/smoke tail lights. Always end up with peeling or wrinkling around the edges and they come out flat black about a month in. VHT works great as long as you prep the lights and clear them. Painting work as well, but significantly more time consuming. Of course I'm bias'ed towards painting the lights because that's how we've done every set :)
