Silly question. How do you lock the tailgate on a 2019 1500 Limited? My old 2014 Laramie you just locked the doors to the truck with the buttons and the tailgate locked by itself. My new truck? Nada. You can use either the buttons on the fob or the button on the door handle, the alarm sets and the truck doors lock, but not the tailgate?? (wtf?)

Thanks!

Figured it out! (Google is your friend). The tailgate lock works on proximity to the fob, kinda like the door handle locks. If you walk near the truck with the fob in your pocket, the tailgate unlocks. Walk away and put the fob in the house and go back outside, and it' s locked. It also doesn't CLUNK like the locks on the earlier truck, apparently it's electronic, not a solenoid.
Cute, but it would be nice of the manual explained this!!

If U leave yer truck and hit FOB to lock, tailgate locks, U just not hearing it.,. However, without going out to my truck, I remember something in the U connect screen settings on this..Below from manual:

NOW I have a Bighorn, and yer trim level may have slightly diff options...

Manual: Your vehicle uses a keyless ignition system. The ignition
system consists of a key fob with Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) and a START/STOP push button ignition system.
The Remote Keyless Entry system consists of a key fob and
Keyless Enter-N-Go feature.
NOTE: The key fob may not be found if it is located next to
a mobile phone, laptop or other electronic device; these
devices may block the key fob’s wireless signal.
The key fob allows you to lock or unlock all doors, tailgate,
and the RamBox (if equipped) as well as activate the Panic
Alarm from distances up to approximately 66 ft (20 m)
using a handheld key fob. The key fob does not need to be
pointed at the vehicle to activate the system.

To Unlock The Doors And Tailgate
Push and release the unlock button on the key fob once to
unlock the driver’s door. Push the unlock button twice
within five seconds to unlock all doors, the tailgate and the
RamBox (if equipped). The turn signal lights will flash to
acknowledge the unlock signal. The illuminated entry
system will also turn on.

NOTE: The instrument cluster display or Uconnect Settings
are setup for driver door first, otherwise this will
unlock all doors.

The only trip back to the dealer was for the tailgate not locking. I was embarrassed when the service manager showed me how the lock and unlock tailgate feature worked. Glad it was the only trip back to the dealer - so far. Oil change coming up.
