My 2006 Ram CTD just rolled 100k. 100,685 to be exact. Driving home from work on Monday night, about 100 feet out of the driveway at work, feathering it up a hill by the shop, it set a solid engine light and started running like shit.

Limped it back to the shop (Dodge dealership) and left it for morning. Turns out it was injector 5. Now, I'm 685 miles out of warranty on a $700+ injector replacement.

Cummins took care of it and charged me $50 plus tax.

THAT'S how it should be done. Now I know why I bought this thing. Yes, they left the other five injectors in there. If they break down the road, I can do the work myself; I am prepared for that.

Just wanted to share a positive experience with my first Cummins!

Hmm I've had 8 injectors replaced within the past 3 months at a certified cummins shop.
$360 an injector in a 5.9 and $380 for an injector in a 6.7

Eh, certified Cummins shop, maybe. We're a Dodge Dealer. So, we get the parts that are marked up, mark them up some more, and if you ask really nice, we'll mark em up again! lol
