Hey all. I'm on my 4 van 3rd Dodge love it
I'm having a problem with acceleration
My van cuts out. Small back fire lack off acceleration.
Had the problem before and they replaced the throttle position sensor. TPS and it worked fine for the last three months
Two days ago it happen again and I am trying to replace the TPS myself
I replaced it but the problem persist and possibly even worse
Is there a specific way to install. Or to reset TPS
Had to put it on at angle then turn it to line up with the mount.
Alil help goes along way
Thanks

Yeah, sounds like you installed it correctly. It should last more than a few months, but anything is possible. Could be an EGR issue, or failing distributor pickup coil. Like 'ite said, could be a number of things. Need more info.

Only a 36? That would be the idle circuit issue, but you should also get a 55, and depending on the transmission, a 37 in the very least.

Yes 36 and 55 end code. But that's it.
Have automatic transmission
36 says solenoid coil circuit?
It seems to only mis fire at low speeds 25 to 40. more on a hill
Could it be timing
Was hoping not to go to a professional
But running out of options
