My [deployed] husband owns a Black 2005' 1500 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x4. I'd like to upgrade a few things before he comes home in the next couple of weeks.

I'm searching for head light and tail light covers. I've even considered tinting them myself. Any recommendations [sites? stores?] or if I'm better off doing it myself. He's all about 'blacking out' his truck. Any advice is very welcome.

I used a Lens Tint spray can. It was about 20 bucks. Looks really good but I'm going to clear coat it for a more glossy black look. It looks pitch black but becomes pretty translucent when you hit the brakes so its still legal.

Do not tint the headlights instead get the inside of them painted black and as far as the covers go they are good for show but the light out put with them on is horrible as far as the tails i would vht tint them or check out retro solutions

second the vht on the tails light and 3rd brake light. 2-4 coats is perfect. depending on how you want them.

Thanks for the advice ya'll. I plan on picking up some of the spray and asking a friend to help me out. I love how a 6 pack of beer will pay a buddy for their automotive services.
