I absolutely love the look, makes it look more like a proper 3rd gen!

On the topic of being able to discern ones car I have never once seen any truck that looks even close to mine. There are simply not many early 3rd gen loaded Laramie rams with the Mopar tonneau cover running around!
Why the Hell would you ever want your 4th gen to look like a old 3rd gen.

I removed the black vinyl a few weeks ago, as it was wrinkled on all 4 doors right at the lower rubber sill strip. I used Goo Gone to remove the glue that didn't come off with the vinyl. I like the look better without the black b-pillars.

it makes the quad cab windows look so tiny. I took the tape off on my 2010 mineral grey crew and i loved the look. I have a white crew now and i dont plan on removing it. For lighter colors i think it looks better left on, darker colors look much better off. Just one mans opinion.

4th gens are ok, my particular 3rd gen will beat any factory 4th gen :box2:
At what?

Good to see you Rocketfoot, I haven't seen you here in a while.

My wife didn't notice at all two days ago when I did the driver's side, and nobody else seemed to notice when I went to work and back yesterday. I told her to go outside and look at it when she got home from work yesterday and 10 minutes later she came back in, and frustratedly asked me what she was supposed to be looking at/for. When I pointed it out she said she liked it with the tape; I think she'll like it when she gets used to it.

You really show your age. Like pony said , at what . how much hp You got in that old truck. Not enough LOL:LOL: here is the hard truth for you. Nobody picks a 3rd gen over a 4th. They settle on a 3rd , most likely for financial reason.

I'm pretty happy with it, but it'll take a bit of getting used to. You know how you can walk out into a parking lot and still be able to discern your truck from others, even those that have all the same exterior options, based on the small subtleties but without really looking at your truck? It'll take a few days to get to that point again.
My decision is by no means unanimous...., so yes, no, maybe on tape.

And too late on my post, if you really wanted to discern your truck, could've left the tape on the pass. side, then you could have had it both ways. :str:

Anytime I see pics of a truck before and after tape removal I can't believe how different they look. Still on the fence with mine.

TH, your truck looks great.

About 485 with 510 tq.........also in 3 months going to have a near unkillable transmission. Also in any turning or braking situation mine will win.

I picked a 3rd over a 4th lol!! Remember I was offered a new bighorn and was not impressed enough with it.

Not yet you don't. You're still 4 gears, 150 HP, and 75 lb ft deficient. :gy:

I've toyed with the idea of an E charger, but you can't really beat the simplicity and longevity of NA, and its a truck so durability and reliability are the priorities.

If I wanted to go fast I'd have bought a car:box:

Yeah, I've been busy with work but as winter rolls in, I should be online a little more! I just had OEM remote start added to my truck! Loving it so far! Looking at tailgate LED bars now.

Truck is looking great! I've always been fond of white vehicles!
