I just bought a used topper and it has a 4 prong plug in for the break and dope light(interior light). Any one know how I wire my truck up for this? It's a 2001 ram, 1500. I would like to use the plug in cause I know I will be taking the topper off sometimes. I do have a hitch with a 7 prong plug, I have a 7 to 4 prong plug for my boat trailer, by chance can I just plug it into the hitch and then into the topper and maybe have break and dope lights? Sorry for the dumb questions but electrical and me DO NOT get along. All I need to do is screw something else up and johnny law seems to think that if you have a light it better work out here! And would like the inside light for early morning fishing trips and what not. Thanks
