For 9100 lbs of Towed Weight and 4 Passenger(s), counting the driver
so a 4 wheel drive will be a bit less towed weight
the heavier the vehicle, the less weight it can tow, assuming both are the same model, like 1500s compared to 1500s
the more passengers the less weight it can tow
the more weight in the bed the less you can tow
etc.

Hi!! im in need of some advice, i have 2004 1500 5.7L, with a 30ft camper weighing roughly loaded under 8,000. thinking of moving up to a 2500 or 1500 4x4 or even upgrading what i have already, any thoughts guys
If its going to be a twice a year, short haul situation I would likely stay with what I had.
With that said ideally given the length, frontal area and weight I would prefer the stability of the 2500 Chassis. Not to mention the drivetrain components will withstand the strain better.

I have an 07 1500 quad 4x4 with 3.92 and towed a 13,000 pound bobcat/ trailer combo this wknd. I wouldnt do it every day, but the truck was capable enough.
