I am working out a deal on a second set of rims with Blizzack snow tires for winter. Dealer said some of the 2014 trucks will go into winter mode if there are no TPM sensors, depends on how the truck is equipped. Winter mode meaning if there are no sensors present the TPMS becomes disabled, therefore I can run second set without buying sensors. Unfortunately he didnt know what option other than usually higher end truck??!!

Trial and error will blow if I fail-lol. I have the 7" premium dash screen as part of luxury group, would anyone know if that is what is required to have a winter mode?

TPMS cannot be disabled.

I believe with the new RAM's, the light will go away, but you will get a message saying "Service TPMS" or something like that every time you start the truck.

After 8 - 12 starts without TPM sensors, your yellow idiot light won't come on anymore. That said, the problem is that every time you start it, the display will go to the tire monitor screen which is a real PITA. You will always have to cycle it back to MPH if that's you preferred home screen. I just sucked it up and got sensors for the winters. $71 each up here in Canadastan.
