Was going to work the other day and went to put it in reverse and since I have a sloped driveway didn't notice till I got to the bottom that it didn't go into gear. Revved it up but nothing. Put it in Drive and nothing. Well, after they towed me in they found the transmission filter worked its way loose. Simple fix but damn, 3000 miles and already tranny issues. Last Dodge I had was in 1995 and had tranny issues then too.

That's an interesting one. I'm not familiar with the filter and pan design on this Dodge, but many/most use the filter assembly as the pickup tube also. And the filter assembly is usually wedged into the trans body by the oil pan. This does two things. Obviously it keeps the pickup part of the filter immersed in the ATF all the time, but it also keeps the pickup tube from coming out of the trans body. On many/most auto trannies this would be next to impossible. But again, I don't know exactly what our filter looks like or how it attaches.
