Do you have spark? That could be a failed coil. But other things can also cause it. Fuel pressure, as Jamie said, or a crank position sensor. But those usually fail slowly.

distributor not turning

Hi all My name is David I have a 2000 ram 1500 5.9 2wd about a I had a big coolant leak go my truck did not over heat I thought the leak was coming from the tstat housing so I took it off at the same time I broke the screw so I had my dad help me get it and he used a gas torch to get it out after all and me fixing the leak I tried to start the truck crank but no start so I check spark and no spark so I replaced the ignition coil and still no spark and I noticed I had a code got a scanner check the code and p0340 popped up so I replaced the pickup coil still no spark so I replaced the cap and rotor still no spark somebody told me to change the ckps that maybe the problem still no spark and I went to work on my truck and I checked to see if the distributor was turning and its not. My question is it possible that the shaft maybe broken or could it be the chain I tried to turn the shaft by hand and its hard feels like its still engaged
