Drove truck across the city fine, reached my destination then turned off the truck for 30 minutes. Went to go and drive normal and truck was running fine then about 2 kilometers of driving truck died suddenly and quickly just as if the key was turned off when tried to start going off of a red light. After the truck stalled it started up just fine as if nothing happened then about 1 kilometer away when merging onto the freeway and trying to speed up to pass the truck died again, but this time it would crank right after then i waited about 30 seconds and tried again still just cranked so i left it for 2 minutes then started just fine as if nothing was wrong, made it all the way to the grocery store and let the truck sit then when heading home the truck ran fine and i hooked up the code reader getting no codes, drove it around with the code reader hoping it would stall and it just ran fine. I have had a similar issue with my old 95 dodge 1500 and was the crankshaft positioning sensor was starting to die out. Was just wondering if this is a good course of action to start with cause i picked up a new sensor and new cap and rotor just cause they do need to be changed Thanks for your time!!

Just finished installing the new crankshaft positioning sensor and replacing the old cap and rotor, truck seems to be working better especially after changing the cap and rotor i may have let them go for a little too long lol but i'll try the new crank sensor and if it doesn't stall in the next little while then i'm gunna say that's wat it was just hate how they havn't thrown codes on this one or the last

The crank-pos sensor never throws a code. So it staying running is a win. The only clue I have found on a ckps is it starts with stalling at low speeds/parking lots/stop-lights. Then bucking and stalling at speed, then longer times between re-starts.
