Hey everyone. Thinking of doing a true dual on my 1500 reg cab.
I always hear about x pipe vs h pipe, x usually the better. But can I take a muffler delete (y pipe), and run it into two flowmaster super 40s, banking out just behind the cab? Would it have the right amount of pressure or too much in that short of pipe?

With how short it'll be, I don't see the point. Usually you have an x on a full length setup. Also, I will be doing it properly, putting in new headers-which would be best, regular or shorties?

Long tubes. Shorts are generally useless unless you are in cali or can't fit the longs. I use an X-pipe but an H-pipe is more useful if you are not turning a lot of RPM.
