I went with the real dual exhaust set up, I cut off Y pipe on my 08, then installed 3 inch stainless steel pipes with 4 inch tips out the back. Flows alot better and more throttle response and even more now will K&N CAI.

I decided to go with the y-pipe and mufflex option. I am getting those installed on Wednesday.
excellent, excellent option...especially from the performance perspective... sometimes i don't understand how people get duped into running flowmasters..is it because it seems everyone except the really performance modded guys run them? how's that sound at wot where it just flushes out...

the shop I went to on Wednesday decided that they misquoted me there install price of 120. they wanted 300 total to install the muffler and y-pipe.
I found another guy in town that said he would do it for 120 tomorrow morning. Hopefully I will have this installed tomorrow morning.

I paid 200 to have my 2.5" TD's done, I supplied the 1-chamber Flowmasters and x-pipe. They made a pipe to go under the trans and over the crossmember, then ran the pipes back and dumped 3" pipe over the axle.

So I got my exhaust installed today. 131 dollars with tax. Its feels like the stock exhaust was just holding the hemi back!! The throttle response alone is worth the exhaust. The sound is a close second. I love this exhaust!! I cant wait for the programmer to make it even better!

So the true duals didn't effect anything with the engine electronics? IE-air/backpressure and such. I was thinking about doing this, but was concerned about throwing a code or something.
I decided against doing the true duals. I went with y-pipe and mufflex

intake and exhaust

I am thinking about doing a K & N intake and an exhaust, but I am not sure if there will be an issue when the truck goes in ECO mode ?? Hemi with the Factory dual exhaust 4x4

I've had no problems with mine. Put the exhaust on at 18 miles and the CAI just recently, (30k miles ish) no issues thus far (36k miles now)

Just curious, did you add 2 mufflers or are you just running one? Also, what Y pipe did you use and if possible do you have any pics. I was thinking of doing the true duals but I was told with this truck that it wouldn't do any good...

I just cut the stock muffler out and installed the Mufflex 18" and cut the factory y-pipe out and had some custom pipes made to fit the magnaflow y-pipe.
